ABOUT

Dawn Ramaker, LMFT

Dawn Ramaker is most passionate about being an authentic Jesus-lover and influencing others to be the same.  In her roles as wife, mother, homeschooler, speaker, and therapist, Dawn’s greatest passion is for others to vividly experience God in their own lives. Her desire is to witness a movement of people discovering and then relaying their own insatiable hunger for God to others, thereby creating a generation of “living influences.”

A dynamic presenter, Dawn has presented workshops on such topics as spiritual disciplines, eating issues, overcoming fear, intimacy with God, parenting, boundaries, and authenticity in relationships.  Those who have seen Dawn present comment on her humor, genuineness, practical application, warmth, and ability to connect with her audience.

Along with her speaking engagements and current private practice, Dawn offers a wealth of experience and expertise. She received her Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Bethel Theological Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota in 2002.

Since completing her Masters, Dawn worked as a parent and family educator in the chemical dependency field. At the adolescent chemical dependency treatment center where she worked, Dawn led and facilitated lectures, groups, and family sessions. In this position Dawn worked with over 3,000 parents and families.  Dawn is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Minnesota.

In a daring step of faith, Dawn opened Living Influence, LLC, an organization that combined public speaking events with one-on-one counseling, as a method to experiencing the heart of God.  For over 20 years, Dawn has had the privilege of witnessing hundreds of healed individuals and marriages, restored relationships, a-ha moments, and intimate experiences with God.

Today, Dawn has been promoted to also influencing three teenaged world-changers.  Dawn is married to a wonderful husband whom God has used to bless her and redeem aspects of her own family story.  They treasure their time together as a family and strive to experience God and His heart through Bible stories, sibling drama, and late-night teen snacking.

Dawn considers her work with others an honor and a privilege. She is grateful for the opportunity to incorporate into her work today the emotional and spiritual healing she has personally received in the past. Helping her kids, her fellow mom friends, and even the grocery store cashier experience Jesus in a real way captures Dawn’s purpose and excites her each morning.
